Gifts of Appreciated Securities
Giving Israel Policy Forum appreciated securities that you’ve held for more than a year, is an excellent way to make a gift to Israel Policy Forum. In most cases, you will be entitled to an income tax charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the securities on the date of the gift and will not have to report capital gain income.

An increasingly popular method of charitable giving, a donor-advised fund (DAF) can be an easy and flexible way to manage your giving and help you achieve your strategic philanthropic goals. Charitable IRA Rollover
The Charitable IRA Rollover allows you to make annual gifts to Israel Policy Forum from your IRA. The recently reinstated law allows individuals age 70 ½ and older to make direct transfers of up to $100,000 per year from IRAs directly to a qualified charitable organization such as Israel Policy Forum without being subject to income taxes on the distribution. Since no tax is incurred on the withdrawal, these gifts do not qualify for a charitable deduction. These direct transfers may, however, be counted towards an individual’s minimum required distribution.
Matching Gifts
More than 1,400 corporations have established programs whereby the company matches or multiplies donations made by current and, in some cases, retired employees, and their spouses/partners. Such a program may be an opportunity for you to increase your contribution to Israel Policy Forum. Legacy
Please consider a legacy gift to Israel Policy Forum by making a gift through your will or retirement account. These gifts provide flexibility and do not affect your current cash flow.
Leaving a bequest (property given by will) is one of the easiest gifts to make. With the help of an attorney, you can include this language in your will or trust specifying a gift to be made to Israel Policy Forum as part of your estate plan. The value of your bequest will not be subject to estate taxes since we are recognized as a non-profit charity.
