The Knesset’s Dissolution Déjà Vu The Era of Israel’s Endless Elections Endures
On Monday, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid announced that they would vote to dissolve the Knesset and send Israel back to elections, ending their yearlong historic political experiment that united eight parties from across the political spectrum. As soon as next week, Lapid will rotate in as acting prime minister, a position he will hold until a new government is formed.
