In Part I of this series, Palestinian Economics 101, members of the IPF Atid D.C. Steering Committee will provide an overview of the Palestinian economic situation, explain why it’s important to consider economics within the context of a lasting two-state solution, and provide an overview of what’s to come in the series’ subsequent sessions. This event is meant to be an introduction to a topic that is often left out of geopolitical discussions, but is incredibly consequential to prospects for Israeli-Palestinian peace and will provide the foundation for deeper conversations on Palestinian economic sectors, currency and trade policies, regional economic trends, and the political and practical role economic policy plays in state-building.
