Join IPF Atid Chicago for a special screening of Advocate, a 2019 documentary film directed by Rachel Leah Jones and Philippe Bellaiche. The film follows Jewish-Israeli lawyer, Lea Tsemel, as she defends Palestinians: from feminists to fundamentalists, from non-violent demonstrators to armed militants. As a lawyer who has represented political prisoners for five decades, Tsemel upholds the principle of innocence until proven guilty and the right to a fair trial.
