IPF Atid Bay Area and the Bay Area JCRC present Women, Peace, and Security: Itach Ma’aki and the Fight for Social Justice in Israel with Dr. Nida Shagari and Netta Loevy. Nida and Netta will discuss United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, on women, peace, and security, which acknowledged the disproportionate and unique impact of armed conflict on women and girls, and how Itach-Ma’aki works to create a society in which the needs of disenfranchised Arab and Jewish women are addressed and the voices of these women are heard in public/policy discourse.
