Born and raised in Houston Texas, Rachel Sasiene studied History and Jewish Studies at the University of Texas. After graduating, she taught English for one year in Bat Yam, Israel through MASA Israel Teaching Fellows. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Israel Education remotely, through George Washington University. Rachel is now in her third year as the Director of Israel programs at the University of Miami Hillel, where she designs educational content around Israel and leads Birthright trips for her students. In her free time, she enjoys weightlifting, reading, and her dog, Pita.
