Israel Policy Forum and IPF Atid are committed to creating a collegial, respectful, and harassment-free environment for all staff, lay leaders, and event participants, and for its online community. This Code of Conduct is established to promote safety and respect at Israel Policy Forum and IPF Atid programs, meetings, and events, including unofficial social gatherings, online communities, chats, and any communications through social media.  We expect all participants to:

  • Exercise consideration and respect in their speech and actions. We expect all members to communicate with kindness and respect. Discriminatory, dehumanizing, or hateful language is not acceptable. This includes but is not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, and any form of harassment. Please remember that the goal of Israel Policy Forum and IPF Atid communities is to share ideas and engage in constructive conversations. We encourage healthy, thoughtful debates and discussions. Please focus on being constructive and avoid trolling, inflammatory comments, or spamming. We expect all participants to contribute toward the goal of positive engagement.  Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech. Every person in our community deserves to feel safe and valued. Personal attacks, threats, or aggressive behavior directed toward others will not be tolerated. Disagreement is natural, but it should always be expressed in a civil and respectful manner.
  • Alert Israel Policy Forum and IPF Atid staff members if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this policy. We ask that you help us maintain positive spaces for everyone by reporting behavior that goes against these guidelines. If you see something that violates these standards, please report it to the staff immediately. We take violations seriously and will review any reports promptly. Please submit reports to Chief Operating Officer Snezhana Orlando, IPF Atid Director Shanie Reichman, or another on-site Israel Policy Forum staff member. Reports will be treated as confidential, and investigations will be handled with discretion and confidentiality.

We are committed to maintaining a respectful environment. Israel Policy Forum and IPF Atid reserve the right to ask any person who violates our Code of Conduct to leave an Israel Policy Forum or IPF Atid event or online community, and to bar any person who violates our Code of Conduct from attending any future Israel Policy Forum and IPF Atid events. We fully prohibit any actual, threatened, or implied retaliation against someone reporting a possible violation or participating in an investigation under this policy. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our community a place where everyone can feel welcome and valued.
