Lawrence C. Gottlieb is the former Chair of the Corporate Restructuring & Bankruptcy practice and a partner at Cooley LLP. He currently serves as Senior Counsel. Mr. Gottlieb has chaired the Long Island division of UJA —Federation of New York. He has served on the Board of Directors of UJA -Federation of New York. He currently is President of the Samuel Field Y and Central Queens Y and sits on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Board of Family and Children Services.

He previously served as Chairman of the Nassau County Medical Center and the Board of Governors of the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts.
