Alan P. Solow is an experienced problem solver as a counselor, attorney and civic leader. In recent years, his practice increasingly focused on government relations and strategic communications assignments. Solow is a 1979 cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School after graduating with an A.B., summa cum laude with highest distinction in political science, from the University of Illinois. Solow is also an accomplished civic and political leader. He currently serves as Board Chair of Interfaith Youth Core, a Chicago based organization that seeks to make interfaith cooperation a social norm, primarily through work on college campuses and with program alumni. He is also a past Chairman of the Conference of President of Major American Jewish Organizations, the umbrella group for more than 50 other agencies. In that capacity, Solow acted as the designated representative of organized American Jewry to the US government and he travelled extensively throughout the world meeting foreign leaders. He is also a past Board Chair of the Jewish Community Centers Association of North America and the Jewish Community Relations Council of Chicago, among other leadership roles.
